As of now, there are no plans for the Indian Government to introduce vaccine passports for international travellers. He added that India is part of several multilateral discussions and forums including one under the framework of (ICAO) (International Civil Aviation Organisation), regarding COVID vaccine certificates. As of now, no consensus has been reached. He stressed that India is pushing for India manufactured vaccines such as Covaxin and Covidshield to be recognised as part of any multilateral arrangement at international travel the written statement to the Parliament, he stated, “India has been part of the ongoing discussions to ensure that India manufactured vaccines are recognised in any multilateral arrangement. India is engaging with several countries for the mutual recognition of vaccination certificates.”
