All Bitcoin mines require a large amount of energy to power the computers inside it. Greenidge Generation in New York has turned a former coal plant into a gas-fired Bitcoin mine. Facing numerous criticism from environmentalists, this company argues its emissions are 100% carbon neutral, and has a lot of plans to invest in solar energy.
